What am I going to learn?
The program
The beginners program teaches principles and techniques how to defend against the most common attacks according to the Krav Maga Global P1 curriculum
You will learna set of skills in a fixed cycle of topics
- Effective punching
- Delevering fast and hard kicks
- Throw effective combinations of counterattacks
- Inside Defense (defending straight attacks)
- Outside Defense (defending against round attacks such as haymaker punches)
- Defenses against kicks
- Release from strangulation
- Self-defense on the ground
- Learning how to fallbreak and get up from the ground as quickly as possible

How will I do that?
Conditioning training
A part of the beginners program is an * adapted warm-up and fitness training.
To determine for yourself and the instructor how good your basic fitness and motor skills are, you start the lesson with a fitness training based on a circuit.
All exercises are meant to improve your posture, strength and endurance and prepare you for the lesson.
The advanced students have their own condition training and warm-up, which demands more dynamic and more knowledge of Krav Maga than the beginners.
In consultation with the instructor it can be determined whether you can participate in training with the advanced condition.
* the adjusted warm-up is available at the IJburg, East and Southeast locations. In Weesp the warm-up is not separated and is made suitable for beginners and advanced.

Exam?
The Exam
In 4 to 6 months you train to the P1 exam.
During the exam, you prove to yourself and the examiner that you are strong enough to physically and mentally pop for 4 hours and that you master the basis of Krav Maga.
After obtaining your P1 diploma you consciously train on the P2 curriculum.
During the beginners program you get this material very quickly so that you are ready in no time to also do your P2 exam.
After obtaining your P2 program you can participate in the advanced program.
