Self-Defense as a Path to Growth

For international teams and individuals who want more than just talk.

What if self-defense wasn’t just about protecting your body – but about truly understanding yourself, and growing as a person, a colleague, a leader?

Over the years, we all develop certain defense mechanisms.

Patterns that once kept us safe, but may now limit our connection, communication, or ability to lead.

In our sessions, we use the physical and relational dynamics of self-defense to explore these patterns and build new, healthier responses.

We specialize in working with international teams and expats in Amsterdam – professionals who are open to embodied development and ready to experience real change.

Who is this for?

Teams
Our sessions are designed for:

  • International teams facing pressure, miscommunication, or cultural tension
  • Expats navigating leadership, stress or personal transitions
  • Teams working remotely who need real connection and trust
  • Individuals looking for more alignment between their body, behavior and goals
  • Professionals who want to feel physically safer – and learn real self-defense skills to back that up
You’ll not only gain insight into your patterns –
you’ll also learn real self-defense techniques that increase your sense of safety in public spaces.

That confidence carries over into everyday life: how you walk, how you speak, how you take up space.

What will you experience?

Reactions under stress

In every session, you will:

  • Explore how your body reacts under pressure
  • Discover your personal defense patterns (fight, flight, freeze, overcompensate, appease)
  • Practice new ways of responding – through direct, physical experience
  • Gain deep insight into yourself, your boundaries and your impact on others

We work with:

Growth

  • Physical but accessible exercises (no martial arts experience needed)
  • Focused reflection and meaning-making
  • Real-time feedback from others and from your body
  • A safe, respectful and highly professional space

Why teams love this:

Teams

  • Because it’s not another PowerPoint.
  • Because your team doesn’t need more theory – it needs shared experience.
  • Because this method makes it safe to confront what’s actually happening.

Why it works?

The body does not lie

  • Because the body doesn’t lie.
  • Because true learning doesn’t just happen in your head.
  • Because when you physically feel a new way of being – you remember it.
